But, things have changed now, with increase in bore wells.  Only since the last two decades or so, the filters have become a household name.  Not just for drinking purpose, but for the entire house too.  People have become very sensitive towards the normal water and are very concerned about their health.  In majority of the houses these days, it is very common to see whole house water filter, so the filtered water is used for every purpose like bathing, washing, cleaning, drinking etc.  People can’t do without them anymore.
